The new 3x3 professional women's basketball league, Unrivaled, has received investment from Avenue Sports Fund, led by Marc Lasry, a former co-owner of the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks. This investment joins existing investors including WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, as well as businessman Gary Vaynerchuk and media executives Ann Sarnoff and John Skipper. Unrivaled will officially tip off its inaugural season on January 17 and has already signed multi-year media rights partnerships with TNT Sports in the US and Ally Financial as its founding brand partner. The league has also brought in State Farm as a recent partnership addition and hired Micky Lawler, former Women's Tennis Association president, as its first commissioner.
